Getting new business is always top of mind for small business owners. According to research from Gallup and Wells Fargo (reported by eMarketer), 21% of SBOs ranked attracting customers as the top challenge faced in Q1 2014.
And, while technology and advertising have evolved to help all businesses attract growth, 52.2% of US small businesses said that "friend referrals" was still the most successful marketing tool available, according to Huzzah Media research conducted in March 2014. That research also showed that 33.2% of small businesses cite advertising as the most effective tool.
